Yes. He collapsed.

He did not handle it well. He asked me how I was still walking when I was so wounded.

But I think now he understands why he, as the first ray of light in those four centuries, is important to me.

I do not know if I made the right decision.

I'm honestly not sure, either.

Never put my memories in anybody else before. And usually I skip town during that spot just before a relationship goes sour.

In my defense. He asked me to do it.

He told me to read his. And then told me to show him mine.

Auspex works both ways, and so I did.

I left out the irrelevant parts. But I think four hundred years of loneliness and solitude was too much for him to handle.

Yeah, I can't blame him for that. I'd probably fall over about it, too.

How was he when you left?

I carried him from the rooftop we meet at down to his apartment and put him in his bed.

I asked him if he wanted me to leave since our hour was up and he yelled at me. He told me I was running away again.

I do not understand him.

Yeah, maybe next time you knock him out with memories of how miserable your unlife has been don't offer to leave him alone. Even if it technically makes sense.

Try a hug instead.

If he wants you to go, he'll say so.

That's the kind of thing I think it's safe to say you can revisit after he recovers from 400 years of memories jammed in his skull.

It was merely an observation of my mishandling of this situation so far.

Well, one thing I can advise you on is that relationship stuff is easy to feel like you ruined even if you didn't.

I feel like everything I do is a mistake.

Yeah, that happens. Sometimes it gets easier.

Could be he doesn't know what he wants, either. That's usually a big part of what complicates relationships.

I think that is a large part of it, yes.

Frustrating as hell, though. You've got my sympathies.

He asked me to erase the memories I gave him. But leave us as we were intact.

It hurt to do so. Knowing he will no longer understand me. But I cannot ask him to shoulder the burden of four hundred years.

Next time, instead of putting stuff in his head, try just telling him about it instead.

Can you define what it would look like if it works?

Because I'm not sure him collapsing and having a crisis worked much either, if I'm honest.
