It's a unique experience. Not one I'd ever expect you to have to have, either. You can just find a hotel or sleep in the car.

Travel in general is annoying. Not often life threatening like it can be for you, but it's a hassle.

Mild consolation. How many songs can a person get stuck in their head at once? I've only ever had it one at a time. I know your case is different with the Fugue, but have you ever had more than two?

The Fugue can never get unstuck, so I don't know what the limit is for normal folks without it. I've had three once. They kinda... Blended together. I tried to sing it like it was its own song after a while and it was a disaster.

Riches beyond compare, and certainly more valuable than the experiences of the oligarchs and the bosses.

That sounds like it'd get confusing. Although I guess I can see two songs at once... if lyrics or melodies are similar, one blending into the next to where it's hard to know which is right.

Their world does often seem smaller for all the money at their disposal.

All the words need is a similar cadence, or at least enough syllables to fit into something else. It makes things pretty flexible but also very annoying when songs that only barely fit get stuck and nothing fits each other. Like jangling bells that are all off key.

It's practically miniscule. If they let too many people in, then they wouldn't feel special and elite. It's why sneaking in is so important to keeping them humble, whether they like it or not.

Where do you stand on misheard lyrics? Have you ever thought any that you misheard were better than the correct ones?

I admit I've tended to loudly crash their party and eat their figurative food in front of them rather than sneaking in, but I'm not sorry about it. I'm not saying it's the route people should go, but... I'm not sorry.

There are so many, Kaz. You'll have to narrow that down. Give me a genre or something.

Oh, that's fun, too. The sneaking is good mostly because they don't see the disruption coming until I've started, and by then it's too late to do anything about it.

Well, most of folk music by the time we've ever heard it has been through a few rounds of misheard lyrics. There's a lot where the original words are lost, unless there's a Kindred around that remembers them. For pop, though... I always sang 'we're calling a trout' when 'Suspicious Minds' would come on the radio.

Now that's some good disruption! Sneaking only required to get onto the roof, I imagine. Though I wonder how it was Wylan's fault.

A trout probably would be more useful than some people.

I'm sure he's probably wanted to at one time or another, but he's never shoved me off a ledge or through a roof, no. He's one of those who'd rather take the harder road of making acid that I use to save the both of us.

No, thankfully he fell with me. His father wasn't pleased, but we got out fine. That's the sort of acid I drop, apparently.

You have many varied skills and tricks, so I'm constantly a little amazed at the stories you come up with. Usually I'm on the other end of this, so I hope you recognize how neat it is.
