That would be the best way to take a nap. I've slept in front of people plenty of times in the past, but it would be nice to have the assurance they didn't even notice.
You don't have to get me anything, Birdie. It sounds like you'd enjoy the pillows more than I would. I really am fine. I hardly even use my bed, anyway.
Don't worry. If I'm around when it happens I'll help distract them. Won't even put a blanket on you or anything.
Your attempts to reassure me are doing the opposite, for the record. I know you sleep at your desk, but sometimes you gotta have a good lie down with actual comfort in between all your planning and mayhem.
Appreciated. Who wants people to notice them when they’re sleeping, after all.
I spent years living on the streets, just being indoors is a comfort to me. Which I assume is also not comforting, so I’ll ask instead, what do you even do with a preponderance of pillows? Some sofas look like there’s not even enough room to sit because of them.
From what I've read, only half-dead princesses with really unfortunate curses.
Not very comforting, but I've slept in corn holes so I'm at least familiar with the differences between the least and just enough. And I lay on them, Kaz. Some I'll put on the floor so I can sit. Some I'll hold onto while I'm laying. Depends on the pillow. There's a myriad of uses for them.
Funny, an isolated space just sounds relaxing to me. Not that I want a pillow fort, just that the being by oneself aspect never entered my mind as a deterrent.
You could dress up as a pillow for Halloween and just lie anywhere you want.
I know you too well to let that possibility linger, Birdie.
I think you'd greatly amuse yourself and most of those around you if you wore tassels. It depends on whether you want to risk distracting yourself playing with them. My mind went to the risk of someone grabbing them, but that's me.
You DO know me too well. I guess it can't be helped.
I am pretty distractable, and the tassels would add to the issue, but I think I could manage. And, well, if it's you grabbing them I won't mind at all.
It's be a very interpretive kind of dance. Avante garde and everything.
Well, you've never yanked anything out of my hair yet or scratched me, so you've got more points with me than crows or cats. The views are pretty good up there. The company can't be beat, either, but I figure I can get that at windows just as easy.
That sounds like your sort of dance. A quirky version of that Gene Kelly version.
That’s right, you did imply that some animals don’t take kindly to vampires. Their loss, honestly. At least when it comes to your company. Windows are probably preferable if it’s poor weather outside, but given my room’s a converted attic, the airflow isn’t the best without the window open.
Maybe I could do the whole routine with a tiny little umbrella, go into comedy.
It really is, though I'm happy to pal around with snakes and spiders and creepy crawlies that don't have those hangups. If it's your window we're at, then, we can just keep it open. Remember, I've got umbrellas by the dozen. We'll be fine if it rains.
Is that really the kind of power you want me to have over a conversation?
Notebooks. There's a couple boxes of them I have to keep in storage, but I'm always filling them up. Almost like journals, if journals were mostly song ideas.

I don't need another, I can just fold it when it feels flat.

That's criminal pillow negligence.
no subject
Well, I am a criminal. I'd just rather spend my money on other things than a pillow when one still works well enough.

What if you didn't have to spend money on it at all?

I half-expected you to say you built forts with them.
no subject
I mean, I could. Don't know that the kinds of pillows I have are good fort making pillows, though.

Oh that is a good idea. You think I should have tassels, then? Or just plain as bedsheets?

I promise if I pull on them to never steer you into any doors.
no subject
How kind of you. Where would you steer me instead? Windows? Or up to the roof again?
no subject
I do like rooftops. Suppose I'm not unlike the crows or a cat in that. I like the view. Windows though require less climbing.

As long as you can read your own handwriting later on, I get that.
