And whimsical? To tell the truth, having a pillow fort for one sounds lonely. I'd rather have a good pile to lay on instead.

Funny, an isolated space just sounds relaxing to me. Not that I want a pillow fort, just that the being by oneself aspect never entered my mind as a deterrent.

You could dress up as a pillow for Halloween and just lie anywhere you want.

I think you'd greatly amuse yourself and most of those around you if you wore tassels. It depends on whether you want to risk distracting yourself playing with them. My mind went to the risk of someone grabbing them, but that's me.

I am pretty distractable, and the tassels would add to the issue, but I think I could manage. And, well, if it's you grabbing them I won't mind at all.

I do like rooftops. Suppose I'm not unlike the crows or a cat in that. I like the view. Windows though require less climbing.

Well, you've never yanked anything out of my hair yet or scratched me, so you've got more points with me than crows or cats. The views are pretty good up there. The company can't be beat, either, but I figure I can get that at windows just as easy.

That’s right, you did imply that some animals don’t take kindly to vampires. Their loss, honestly. At least when it comes to your company. Windows are probably preferable if it’s poor weather outside, but given my room’s a converted attic, the airflow isn’t the best without the window open.

Maybe I could do the whole routine with a tiny little umbrella, go into comedy.

It really is, though I'm happy to pal around with snakes and spiders and creepy crawlies that don't have those hangups. If it's your window we're at, then, we can just keep it open. Remember, I've got umbrellas by the dozen. We'll be fine if it rains.

You could then use the word 'schtick' in conversation with full meaning.

Notebooks. There's a couple boxes of them I have to keep in storage, but I'm always filling them up. Almost like journals, if journals were mostly song ideas.

Eventually I'd have to distract you with some sheet music, or a pillow.

Yeah, I can figure most of them out. The things I can't are usually just... References to stuff I've forgotten about over the years. That's why I keep them around.

Sometimes I do remember them after a while. I figure time and a bunch of other memories, some just get a little buried. Not lost.

Very true. Though I do worry sometimes that I'll miss something important the longer I go on.

I don't plan on going anywhere for a long time, Birdie. And I'm extremely memorable to the point of annoyance I'm told. You won't be able to get me out of mind anytime soon. Just when you think you're no longer exasperated over something I've done, you'll get something in the mail to remind you.
