I’m not much one for authorities for the sake of them. In my world most are easily bought off until proven otherwise. I’d rather trust those who earned it. You’re one of those, by the way. Despite what rumors say, I don’t hand over people just for a price. Despite the frivolity others ascribe to you, you saw that. And, no doubt, much more to help yourself and others like you survive.
I’m never above using the talents of those around me, so that’s good to know. Likewise though, if you ever need a hand that involves less of your talents for your own safety, I’m fairly adept at filling different roles.
In my experience, authorities are for the sake of themselves and used as a tool by the worst people you've ever met, with very few exceptions. But I'm glad. Trust usually isn't something I get a lot of when people know as much as you do, even around others like myself. It means a lot. And for what it's worth, you wouldn't know half of what you do if I thought at all that you'd turn around and start throwing holy water and garlic at me, or give me up to those that would.
I would never waste garlic like that. Or water, even if I imagine after being anointed it might not taste the same. [Feels, must add in some joking to handle them.]
Better to keep it in mind than on a Post It for sure.
[ A tactic she's well versed in. ] Don't worry, the water is still just water. Usually they have a guy come in and do a hand thing on it and then it's holy, somehow, but still entirely drinkable.
Damn. How'd you know I put all my thoughts on Post Its?
Not really. I can get a little buzzed if I get blood from someone drunk or high on something else. And I can smoke, but it doesn't hit quite the same as it did way back.
I have some Sisters that might be able to pull that off. Much older than me, and a lot more skilled.
I usually just let myself get buzzed. The thought of getting sloppy doesn't appeal to me, in any sense of the word.
Having gotten earworms the usual way, I can see it being an effective form of torment over time. Though of course just because someone could do something doesn't mean they would.
I’d probably want to drink by the time he finished explaining in depth why me doing a keg stand would ever be necessary.
No, I can think of more than one I wouldn’t mind seeing it done to. Sometimes taking the higher road only leaves you with a greater uphill battle. Revenge can be a wise investment.
As a roadblock to someone else? I don't know about favorite but the first that comes to mind is having someone rant and rave to their board members about how their business was going south because I summoned an ancient magic group that hasn’t been seen in public in centuries to specifically undermine them. Needless to say, confidence in their leadership skills plummeted after that show.
That sounds lovely. It's always nice to let them ruin themselves, I think. Give them enough rope to tie themselves in knots and step aside to let them trip off a cliff. Hard to pull off, but very satisfying in the end.
There’s little better than letting someone walk themselves to their noose. They might look back on how many other steps they might have taken, they might not, but they can’t ignore that in the end, they’re the last voice heard to their detriment. Given he was a man who loved to hear himself talk, it felt very fitting.
See, now that's poetic. I could make a song with that easy, probably in the Casey Jones style. And who doesn't love hearing about someone getting a good comeuppance for their misdeeds?
Other than the person that got their comeuppance, of course.
It’s one of the best ways to restore faith in the world. I’m guessing that happens to you often, thinking of moments in terms of what songs they might become. I like hearing how different people’s minds work.

I'll keep that in mind if I'm ever in need.

I suspect them coming in multiple bright colors these days is at least in part your influence.

I don't think I can take credit for that one. They were after my time.

No ‘Shades that Stick’ song made to nudge them into production?

Sorry, no. That's steering a little too close to jingle territory, and I can't sully my artistic integrity like that.

It would probably be a form of torture if you could get a jingle stuck in someone’s head forever.

I don't think it'd surprise you to find some people absolutely deserve it.

When it comes down to it, the high road is usually a toll road. Only people that can afford to not get dirty take it.
