You're right, seeing you without an angle would be very distressing.

Far more distressing than seeing you with a crumpled hat covered in pins and ribbons.

As ridiculous as the image of such a hat is, I wouldn't be surprised if that was a style at some point. Not one I'd follow, but I put nothing past fashion to exist.

I suppose if it comes into fashion you'll just have to dress behind the times. Normal vintage hat, uncrumpled. Maybe one ribbon that someone snuck on there.

Imagine my horror if it became fashionable with the Council. I might have to just murder them all rather than dressing like them then.

You might not have to be so drastic. All it'd take is a few well placed and highly regarded remarks about how silly they look and they'd toss them out in a week. The murder might be more cathartic, though.

Possibly even two.

I was going to say, one well-placed murder can turn overnight what would otherwise take rumors a week. I'm just being efficient. And cathartic.

A fair point, they are rather insistent on collecting colorful things. Although once they did even go after my shoelaces.

You'd be surprised how often people toss something out just because there's a little mold on it.

Possibly. Their annoyance efforts usually work on others. It's what happens when positive reinforcement is mixed with those that have no manners. Frayed shoelaces and feathered entitlement.

Certainly works on me. I've had to buy more ribbons since I've gone up to feed them with you than I have in years. Maybe I should bring the peanuts to bribe them away from my hair.

See? Reinforcing their bad habits. Everyone does it for the birds just because they have cute feathers, but when I want my bad habits reinforced, I get told I should grow as a person.

You're better than most at it, honestly. Sleep is overrated, caffeine is a way of life, I can actually take on the world with my own two fists and burning everything to ground if it can't be saved is always a viable option.

Although on a daily basis I suppose what I hear the most is how I have a shit work/life balance.

There's something we have very much in common, then. Long time ago, though, I'd wonder about what would've happened if I hadn't gone with Lorelai, but I don't think I'd ever prefer those options to what I have now.
