Point taken. Although there's only one hotel I know that might have that large of showers in the area, and I'm probably not their favorite person still.

I lost our home for awhile, and the club. [He doesn't even realize how it slips out, how his mind frames it, as though it was indeed his fault and not Van Eck and Rollins.]
So I got Jesper's dad the Ketterdam Suite at the Geldrenner Hotel and the Crows used it as our base of operations until I got the Slat back. It was all under aliases, and the club apparently didn't like that they hadn't realized a notorious thug and his people were occupying their pristine palace until it was too late. I could technically probably swindle a stay there again, but I'd have to use blackmail or other aliases. Frankly, I thought we were lovely guests and the suite took up the entire top floor, so there was room for all of us.

Fancy hotels can be like that. Which is funny, considering the kinds of things more 'respectable' clients tend to get up to in them. Every other sin is legitimate and handled with discretion, until it's being done by someone they don't believe belongs there.

I have to admit it was my first experience with a fancy hotel, though yeah, I expected as much. It's the same way society operates as a whole. Nothing's a crime if certain people do it.

We should go to Vegas sometime. Everyone's of equal ill repute, the showers are big, and if we stay at the Wadjet we can visit the snakes.

I'll let you know if a job ever comes up in the Vegas area. I like to travel, but I can't justify it most of the time unless it's work-related.

Wadjet, it's an Egyptian-themed place? That'd make sense with the snakes.

There are a lot of similarities, yeah. Though Vegas is a bit more into kitsch, neon, and themed hotels.

You could say that. One of them helped me out of Denver, so I'm biased in their favor. And they're very nice for a cult.

Ah, got it. Pieces are coming together. You've mentioned being close with the snake cult a few times, but I didn't know they were who helped you out of Denver.

It was just one of them in Denver, I think I mentioned before that they do forgeries. But I did stay with the snake cult in the Wadjet while I was in Vegas right after.

It's possible, I've come across a few forgeries in my time. Though whether I still steal them and treat them as the original or expose the owner for having a forgery to embarrass them is a toss up. Depends on the situation.

They'd probably enjoy you humiliating someone over it as much as fencing it for a high price. From what I understand, most of the art they did was good enough and old enough to be really hard to tell.

I believe it, plus most people who own expensive art doesn't really know anything about it beyond a price tag.

Yeah, you're very much the type to follow your interests. For me it's more that when I find something I don't know it bothers me until I figure it out. Only life is busy and there's a lot to know, so I still have to prioritize what makes the most sense to learn first.
